To reach our younger digitally savvy audience and break through the clutter, we came up with a meme inspired campaign that communicated the key benefits of joining Virgin Mobile. The launch began with situational messages that conveyed human truths related to control and flexibility followed by sarcastic statements to underscore the core benefits that differentiate Virgin Mobile from its competitors.
This 360 campaign ran predominantly across social and digital media and was supported by print, outdoor, radio, competitions and even branding in cinemas.

Virgin Mobile had a promotion where customers who paid for the year upfront saved 50% on their mobile bill, cutting their expenditure in half. We figured, since you can cut your mobile bill in half, let's cut all media in half (literally, in their true form). This shocking approach grabbed attention and communicated the promotion in the most salient way possible, making it hard to forget.
